For decades, an iconic administrative building owned by the City of Munich has been a prominent feature on the bustling street known as Dachauer Strasse. This was the site of the former health center. A few years ago, Kunstlabor moved in as a cultural interim use project. As a ‘branch’ of the Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art (MUCA), this five-level space houses artists and creatives, hosts an extensive range of events and offers excellent catering services. This project exemplifies how thoughtful concepts can transform old, existing buildings into versatile spaces that bring added value to larger segments of society.
